Please Humor me and guess my weird objects' identity!! Honestly the pictures really don't show the elaborate detail well enough. I have no clues to give, other than this and several other "weird objects" are a very important part of my Father in law's life. I hope everyone is having a great day!!!

I wasn't sure what it was. At first I thought it was some type of a musical instrument but after reading the other comments I guess it's something for a guitar. I should know this as my son plays the guitar.
Katidids, good first weird object thingy. What is it acutally called?
Well, I saw the tuning pegs and figured it was part of some stringed instrument. There are three of them, which would be half of six, which would indicate guitar (as opposed to mandolin, violin, etc.) Is it from a guitar? Or something more exotic? (I dunno, dobro?)

I am still trying to find the actual name for this object, but you were all correct. It is the tuning pegs which are used for guitars. Thank you all so much for trying! As soon as my father in law gets back to me I will post the actual name of my object. I guess for future weeks I should get that name before hand huh?
